Garages & Sheds

Epoxy garage and shed flooring across the Sunshine Coast

Bare concrete dusts, stains and never really comes clean. Tom lays hard-wearing flake and solid-colour epoxy in home garages, backyard sheds, workshops and big colourbond sheds — Caloundra, the Sunshine Coast and down through Brisbane.

What you're actually getting

The floor stops being the worst bit of the shed.

no more dust

Raw concrete is porous. It dusts up onto everything you store, it drinks oil straight into the slab, and no amount of pressure washing brings it back. A flake epoxy floor seals it shut — permanently.

Tom diamond-grinds the slab back to open concrete, cuts out cracks and joins, then lays primer, hand-broadcast flake and a clear sealer. What you end up with is one continuous surface that a jack stand, a dropped spanner or a trolley jack won't chip out.

It also throws light around. A grey or cream flake floor makes a dim single-skin shed feel about twice the size, which is the bit nobody expects.

The difference

Same slab. Same week.

yep, same floor

Three real jobs off Tom's phone — a home garage, a double garage and a full commercial shed. Pick one and drag the handle across.

How a garage or shed gets done.

01

Quote on site

Tom measures up, checks the slab for moisture and cracks, and gives you a fixed price.

02

Clear and grind

Diamond grinding back to sound concrete. This is the step most operators skip.

03

Repair and prime

Cracks, joins and pitted patches get cut out and filled, then primer goes down.

04

Flake, seal, hand back

Flake broadcast by hand, scraped back, vacuumed and sealed. Swept clean before Tom leaves.

Why epoxy in a shed

Hard-wearing, and it actually stays clean.

Takes a hammering

Trolley jacks, jack stands, dropped tools, a ute parked on it wet. Ground and primed properly, it holds up.

Kills the concrete dust

The slab is sealed shut, so nothing chalks off onto your tools, boxes or the car bonnet.

Oil sits on top

Diff oil, brake fluid, coolant — it beads on the surface instead of soaking into the slab forever.

Brightens the whole shed

A light flake floor bounces the light around. Single-skin colourbond sheds feel twice the size.

Prep you can actually see

Tom grinds it back in front of you. If a quote doesn't mention grinding, that's a recoat waiting to fail.

Good enough for a conversion

Turning the garage into a gym, a rumpus or a studio? Same floor, and it finishes like a proper room.
